Reserved for independent restaurants
SRVD only lists independently owned restaurants. We do not accept chain venues, franchise operations, or paid placements. Every restaurant on the map has gone through the same assessment process, and every one earned its place. Your restaurant sits alongside others that share the same commitment to food, service, and atmosphere.

Three things we assess before any restaurant makes the map
We arrange a time to visit your restaurant and try a selection of dishes from the menu. During the visit, we assess three areas: the food, the atmosphere, and the service. If your restaurant meets our standard across all three, it can earn a place on the SRVD map, subject to a final decision from the SRVD dining team.

Build status through dining
Each visit moves you forward. Your membership becomes something you earn into, not something you simply hold.

Does it cost anything to be listed on SRVD?
No. There are no listing fees and no commission. If your restaurant passes our assessment, you are listed on the SRVD map at no cost. We do not charge independent restaurants to appear on the platform and we never will.
How does the assessment work?
Our team visits your restaurant as a regular diner without announcing the visit in advance. We assess three things: the food, the service, and the atmosphere. If your restaurant meets our standard across all three, it earns a place on the SRVD map.
What if my restaurant does not pass the assessment?
The result is kept strictly confidential. Nobody will know that your restaurant was assessed or that it did not meet the standard. You are welcome to reapply after 6 months, and many restaurants pass on their second assessment after making adjustments.
What kind of diners will SRVD send to my restaurant?
SRVD members are people who dine out regularly across Hertfordshire and North London and choose where they eat based on quality. They use the SRVD map to find restaurants for client dinners, date nights, celebrations, and regular midweek dining. These are repeat diners who value food, service, and atmosphere.
Do I need to offer discounts to be listed?
No. Discounts and the Deal of the Week programme are optional. You can be listed on SRVD and benefit from the membership base without offering any deals. If you do choose to participate in the Deal of the Week, you decide what to offer and when.
